CROW FLATS
2003Families that have moved to their spring camps along the Porcupine River and in Crow Flats are able to receive radio broadcasts from KZPA Radio in Ft. Yukon, CBQM Radio in Ft. McPherson, and CBC North Radio in Inuvik. Leave a message to families here and we will forward to these radio stations for broadcast.
Messages to Crow Flats now Closed - All families have now returned from their camps in Crow Flats. Thanks to KZPA, CBQM, and CBC North radio stations and to all those who sent messages.

| Message: | A film company from New York has been here in Old Crow since May 12. Andrew Walton, a documentary filmaker, came first, and then was later joined by producers Elizabeth Mandel and Dallas Brennan and cinematographer Jeff Stonehouse. The filmmakers are interested in Gwich'in culture and life in Old Crow, in particular fiddle music, dancing and celebration, as well as in the traditional lifestyle of hunting and life on the land and the importance of the caribou. The crew wants to thank everyone in Old Crow for giving such a warm welcome and making them feel right at home. They really appreciate all the time and knowledge that everyone shared with them during their stay. They depart tomorrow, May 29th, but they hope to be back soon. |
