2009 Yukon Native Hockey Tournament March 27 - 29 in Whitehorse, Yukon
2009 was a very successful year for the two youth teams from Old Crow, Yukon. The Gwitchin Braves took Gold and the Gwitchin Gladiators took Bronze.
Congratulations to both teams the community is very proud of you all.
The tournament results were as follows:
Gwitchin Braves
1st game: Braves defeat the Teslin Sun Dogs
2nd game Braves defeat the Kaska Wolf Cubs
3rd game: Braves defeat the Gwich'in Gladiators
Final: Braves defeat the Kaska Wolf Cubs for the Gold
Gwitchin Gladiators
1st game: Gladiators beat the Teslin Rough Riders
2nd game: Gladiators beat the Ross River "Little Wild Ones"
3rd game: Gladiators lost against their community rivals the Gwitch'in Braves
Final: Gladiators VS Kaska Wolf Cubs. Gladiators win Bronze
