Sandra is a Vuntut Gwitchin resident of Old Crow. She was a past Councilor of the VGFN government.
In February of 2001 Sandra along with Ken Madsen traveled to Oregon and Washington states to lobby for the protection of the Porcupine Caribou Calving Grounds. In Oregon they took their road show to Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, Bend, Portland, La Grande, Grants Pass, Ashland, and Roseburg. In Washington state they did presentations in Vancouver, Federal Way, Seattle, and Tacoma.
We would like to say a big thank you to the people of Oregon and Washington for the hospitality you showed Sandra and for taking care of her for us.
